COLLECTING HOCKEY CARDS CAN BE A GREAT HOBBY OR A FULL TIME BUSINESS
To try to appreciate the art of collecting hockey cards you must consult a reputable dealer and the ten (10) point grading system. 10) PRISTINE CONDITION is when the hockey cards are in absolute perfect condition. All four corners are sharp. The gloss is fully original and the printing and photography are in perfect focus. 9) MINT CONDITION hockey cards are in superior condition. The corners are sharp. There may be a minor imperfection in the printing. 8) NEARLY CONDITION hockey cards have minor imperfections in the printing and the edges show a very light fraying. 7) NEAR MINT CONDITION hockey cards have minor imperfections in the printing and the edges are slightly frayed. 6) EXCELLENT MINT CONDITION hockey cards have slight surface scratches. The edges are slightly frayed and there are minimal printing imperfections. 5) EXCELLENT CONDITION hockey cards gloss is not high. There are printing defects and the corners are a little rounded. 4) VERY GOOD EXCELLENT condition hockey cards gloss is still bright but exhibit rounded corners and moderate surface wear. 3) VERY GOOD CONDITION hockey cards have off centered printing, visible creasing, frayed edges and rounded corners. 2) GOOD CONDITION hockey cards have damaged edges, evident creasing, considerate wear to the gloss and rounded corners. 1) POOR FAIR hockey cards are inferior. They have substantial wear. These hockey cards offer trivial monetary valve unless they are so unique that no other samples exists.
