HOCKEY BRAWLS ARE SHEER MAYHEM

Hockey brawls are sheer mayhem.  Temper tantrums are not the only things that get thrown.  Punches, sticks, gloves, water bottles and even an octopus or two have been known to hit the ice when hockey brawls breakout.

Bench clearing hockey brawls are not uncommon.  Rivalry carried over from one game to the next between teams and towns cause the chaos on the ice.  Once players are out of control everyone gets involved - goaltenders, coaches and even fans have been known to duke it out.

Generally hockey brawls start around the net as players try to protect their goaltenders and prevent a goal against their team.  More often at the end of the game, players shake hands with the hockey brawl forgotten till the next time the teams step on the ice together.
